Peak Living

Hathersage is a popular centre for walkers and climbers. The east side of the village has great moorland walks overlooked by a line of gritstone edges of which Stanage Edge is the longest being 3 miles long. You can walk up to Stanage Edge directly from the cottage. There are breath taking views from the edges of the Hope Valley.

The River Derwent passes south of the village and here at Leadmill there is a picturesque bridge just 2 minutes walk away from the Cottage where you can take pleasant riverside walks through the surrounding woods.

The Village centre is only 10 minutes walk away from Pond View Cottage. There are a choice of restaurants, pubs and cafes and excellent shops including a bakery, butchers, deli and grocers.

Pond View Cottage is a cosy contemporary retreat in a great setting with lovely views and wonderful walks straight from the doorstep. There is an old country inn only 2 minutes walk away that serves gastro pub food and great ales.

This really is a great place to take a well deserved relaxing break in the Peak District.
